Second Baptist Church cancels Thursday food pantry distribution

Because of extreme cold and inclement weather the Second Baptist Church in Du Quoin is canceling Thursday's 3 p.m. food distribution.

Pastor Kent said food distribution will resume on the third Thursday of March.

The program provides canned items and other staples to families to about 40 families on the third Thursday of each month.

Pastor Kent said if your family is completely out of food you can contact him at 318-5873 and he will open the church for you.
