OBITUARY: Jason Eric Gulley

Jason Eric Gulley, age 47, resident of Harrisburg, died at his residence Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015.

He was born in Harrisburg on Feb. 27, 1967, to the late Earl Wayne Gulley and Mary Alice (Fife) Winters. On May 14, 2003, he married the former Michelle Williams who survives.

Jason had previously worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections (IYC) in Harrisburg for 19 years. In his working years he had served as past vice-president of Local No. 779 AFSCME

He had a great love for pets.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle Gulley of Herrin; mother, Mary Alice (Melvin) Winters of Carrier Mills; daughters, Jessica Milligan and Megan Gulley; several grandchildren; numerous cousins; and his loyal companion, Moose.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Wayne Gulley; and beloved dogs, "D" and "Baby."

Memorial services will be held at a time and date to be announced later.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills.
