OBITUARY: Jo Ann Hale

Jo Ann Hale, 65 of 32 W. Homer St., Harrisburg, died 7:37 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2015, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held noon Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial is in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. The Rev. Mary M. Day will officiate.

She was born on July 25, 1949, in Herrin, to the late Harry Hamilton and Pauline (Forbes) Barnes.

She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by four children: Barbara (Jerry) Hunt of Harrisburg, William Deon (Laverna) Hale of Centralia, Paula Patterson of Harrisburg and Michael (Kari) Hale of Eldorado; sister: Wilma Hamilton of Carrier Mills; brother: Mike Barnes of Carrier Mills; her very special companion of 37 years: Robert Cowper of Carrier Mills; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Wanda Fisher.
