OBITUARY: Everett Bolin Jr.

Everett Bolin Jr., 87 of Odessa, Mo., passed away on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at the Golden Living Center in Odessa, Mo.

Everett was born on Jan. 31, 1928, in Harrisburg, to James Everett and Emma Anna (Hunt) Bolin. He graduated from Harrisburg Township High School in Harrisburg. On July 24, 1949 he married Bonnie Lou (Simmons) Bolin in Harrisburg. Everett was a member and Elder of the Odessa Restoration Branch. He retired from the Meat Cutters Union after 45 plus years. When he retired he was working at the Uptown Market in Harrisburg. Everett was well respected for his hard work and honesty, in addition to working as a meat cutter he had a family floor cleaning business and had a great love of raising Black Angus Cattle. He was a talented harmonica player and singer who loved making music.

In addition to his wife Bonnie, Everett is survived by five children, David Bolin and wife Christine and Mike Bolin and wife RaDonna, both of Harrisburg, Rhonda Miles of Higginsville, Mo., Joseph Bolin and wife Lequita of New Athens and James Bolin and wife Terri of Odessa, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents.
