OBITUARY: Melba L. Beasley

Melba L. Beasley, 95 of Junction, passed away 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at the Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.

She was born in Brownsville on May 21, 1919, the daughter of James and Ora (Farmer) Eleam. Melba married James E. Beasley on Sept. 8, 1975, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1998. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Sue Winters of Shawneetown, Glenda Reeves of Herod; three sons, James L. and Delana Morse of Junction, Francis R. "Bud" and Frances Morse of Shawneetown, Larry "Butch" and Judy Morse of Shawneetown; two sisters, Aletha Judd of Thomasville, N.C., Mary Evelyn Thompson of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Linda Kline; one grandson, Tommy Morse; and four brothers.

Visitation for Melba will be 9 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. The Rev. James R. Hubbard will be officiating with burial at the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
