OBITUARY: Doris Lovean Scott

Doris Lovean Scott, 93, resident of Brookstone Estates in Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at the Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.

Lovean was born Sept. 14, 1921, to the late Ernie and Connie (Mosby) Tate. She married Harold E. Scott who preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2007. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eldorado First United Methodist Church.

Lovean is survived by a son, Fred (Suzanne) Scott of Eldorado; a daughter, Mary Lou Voight of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Michele Voight, Krista Voight, Nathan (Kristina) Scott, Michael Scott, Chris (Lauren) Scott; and three great-grandchildren, Danielle Scott, Callie Scott and Oliver Scott.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Frieda Tate Dickerson; and brother-in-law, William (Bill) Dickerson.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. John Cross officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
