OBITUARY: Katherine Ruth Milligan

Katherine Ruth Milligan, 62 of Equality, passed away at her home at 7:02 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015.

She was born on June 17, 1952, the daughter of Sam Tandy Rogers and Freida Betty (Sullivan) Reed. Katherine married her husband, Thomas R. Milligan on Nov. 7, 2012.

She was a tax accountant and owned and operated the Personal Touch Tax Service. Also she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Equality American Legion Post No. 595.

Katherine is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Milligan of Equality; two daughters, Betsy Sharlene and husband Terry McCreary of Bossier City, La., and Ginnie Rebecca Burnett of Irving, Texas; four brothers, Johnny Rogers of Caraway, Ark., Steven Rogers of Goldweight, Texas, Leslie Rogers of Sherman, Texas, and Weslie Rogers of Zwolle, La.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Andrew Rogers.

Visitation for Katherine will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, with burial at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality.
