OBITUARY: Junior H. Gibbs

Junior H. Gibbs, 84, of Harrisburg, passed away at 3:01 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Junior was born on April 2, 1930, in Harrisburg, to the late William T. and Gertrude M. (Mattingly) Gibbs. Junior married JoAnne Bush on Oct. 25, 1954, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 2013.

Junior was a retired coal miner.

Junior is survived by a daughter, Terry Clark of Harrisburg; son, Mike Gibbs and wife Beth of Harrisburg; daughter, Pam Rushing and husband Gary of Ozark; nine grandchildren, Brandi Jo Clark, Joshua Gibbs and wife Alisha; Krystal Pankey and husband, Neal; Kimberly Gibbs, Jacob Gibbs and wife Stacey, Julie Bishop; Bryan Bishop and wife Kelli, Gary Rushing and Matthew Rushing; eight great-grandchildren, Zachary Smith; Aiden Owen, Bentlee Gibbs, Luke Pankey; Evan Pankey, Mylee Gibbs, Tucker Gibbs and Finnley Rose Gibbs; five brothers; and one sister.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents; wife, JoAnne; five brothers; and one sister.

At Junior's request his body has been cremated and there will be no funeral services. Arrangements are in the charge of Reed Funeral Chapel.
