OBITUARY: Joseph Andrew Dolden

Joseph Andrew Dolden, 83, resident of Eldorado, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at his residence.

Joseph was born April 15, 1931, in Marks, Miss., to the late Dee Craig and Viola Dolden. He married the former Roena Nell Murphy who survives. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Joliet VFW. He attended The Heaven Bound Depot in Eldorado. He enjoyed fishing and most of all tending to his beautiful garden.

In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons, Joseph Ray (Jody) Dolden of Eldorado, Gregory Cooper (Jane Morris) of Eldorado, Steven Leo Dolden of Harrisburg, Anthony Norman Dolden (Sheliah Raines) of Stonefort, Kevin Dee Dolden of Carrier Mills; two daughters, Debra Oma Bell of Eldorado, Gail Renee (Jack) Bean of Broughton; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Dee Craig Jr.; three sisters, Louis Austin, Margie Sheilds, Betty Ann Weaver; and an aunt that raised him after his mothers death, Oma Craig.

As per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Wilson officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
