Head on collision results in fatality

Illinois State Police District 22 is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday in Vienna.

At about 6:07 a.m. a silver 2010 Kia was driving north on U.S. Route 45 and a gray 2013 Dodge Avenger was driving south. The vehicles collided head on, according to a release from the ISP.

The release includes no names and no indication if there was one or more fatalities.

The ISP continues to investigate the crash.
