OBITUARY: Pauline R. Drone

Pauline R. Drone, 85 of Ridgway, passed away 5:13 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at the Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1929, in Washington, Mo., the daughter of William and Edna (Kuenzel) Rother. She entered into marriage on Sept. 19, 1953, to the late Aaron "Peanut" Drone. Peanut preceded her in death on March 3, 2002. She was a homemaker and also worked at the PCA Farm Credit and the Ridgway Bank. Pauline was a member of the St. Kateri Catholic Church and the St. Kateri Altar Society.

She is survived by two daughters, Dona and husband Bob Hastie of Elizabethtown, Beverly and husband Kenny Harrawood of Raleigh; one son, Philip and wife Sue Drone of Ashtabula, Ohio; five grandchildren, Trisha and husband Mike Scates of Shawneetown, Nicholas and wife Tabitha Drone of Lebanon, Ohio, Christopher and wife Tiffany Drone of Mentor, Ohio, Rachel and husband Dusty Kruger of Evansville, Ind., Ethan Hastie of Elizabethtown. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and also by several stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Joshua Drone; one sister, LaVerne Latham.

Visitation for Pauline will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Equality with Father Steven Beatty officiating. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery near Ridgway. Memorials in Pauline's memory may be made to St. Joseph Cemetery - Ridgway.
