OBITUARY: Burtis Dale Hogg

Burtis Dale Hogg, age 58 of rural Golconda, passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at Hardin County Hospital in Rosiclare.

Burtis was born March 7, 1956, to the late Jesse Lloyd and Ruby Mae (Bebout) Hogg in Gary, Ind. He graduated from Rosiclare High School. He was a retired guard from Vienna Correctional Center. He was a Shriner and a motorcycle enthusiast.

He is survived by son, Joshua (Cynthia) Hogg of Eldorado; daughter, Christina (Robb) Filippes of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Kierstin Jones, Ayden Jones, Brandon Filippes, Mackenzie Hogg, Bailey Hogg; brother, Lloyd (Peggy) Hogg; sister, Beatrice (Doug) Yates; twin sister, Bertha (Bob) Towns; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Linda Hall.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville. The Rev. Roy Hughes will conduct the service. Interment will follow the service at Hogg Cemetery Herod.
