OBITUARY: Esther M. Tucker

Esther M. Tucker, age 78, died peacefully at her home on Nov. 23, 2014.

She was born in Waubeno, Wis., on July 8, 1936, to the late Edward and Hilda (Tomlin) Palmer. On Sept. 8, 1956, she married Louis F. Tucker who survives. Esther was a LPN and had worked for 52 years in the medical field. She loved the outdoors and camping, but her passion was quilting. Esther was a wonderful caring person and always put others first. She was a good wife, loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Esther is survived by her husband, Louis F. Tucker; two sons, John Tucker of Jonesboro and Jim Tucker of North Carolina; three daughters, Debbie Hall and Diane Jones of Paducah, Ky., and Kathy Houser of Gibson City; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward.
