OBITUARY: Robert "Bob" Buchholz
Robert "Bob" Buchholz, age 65 of Harrisburg, passed away at 4:33 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Bob was born on Thursday, Dec. 16, 1948, in St. Louis, Mo., to the late John P. and Bernice M. (Etzkorn) Buchholz. He married the former Dianna Douglas on April 10, 1982, and she survives in Harrisburg. Bob was a Vietnam Army veteran and served in intelligence where he was awarded a Bronze Star medal. Bob recently retired as manager for Murphy's Do-it Center, he had previously worked for Hostess Cakes as a supervisor. He was a member of the American Legion and Catholic by faith.
Bob is survived by his wife Dianna of Harrisburg; daughter, Robie Williams and husband Wesley of Harrisburg; daughter, Megan Bryant of Colorado; brother-in-law, Dennis Douglas and wife Julie of Swansea; and cousin, Kenny Etzkorn of St. Louis, Mo.
Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Buchholz will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Christine Cunningham will officiate. Burial will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
