OBITUARY: Mary M. Cooley

Mary M. Cooley, 89 of Eldorado, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

She was born in Harco on Oct. 1, 1925, to the late Mark and Margaret (Bartus) Arpasi. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldorado. She graduated from Eldorado High School with the class of 1943. She was a homemaker.

On Oct. 31, 1943, she married Wilburn Cooley and he preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 2003.

Surviving are her children: Carol Dalton of Eldorado, Marilyn (John) McGill of Eldorado and Beth Cooley of Eldorado. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Debbie (Kyle) McGowan of Harrisburg, Kim (Greg) Davis of Harrisburg and Mark (Kelly) Dalton of Harrisburg. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren: Tyler McGowan, Jake McGowan, Nick Davis, Karsyn Davis, Christian Dalton, Abigail Dalton, Jordan Dalton and Taylor (Ryan) Ozee; and one great-grandchild: Maddux Ozee.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Dalton; and three brothers: Andy Kevish, Charles Kevish and Jim Arpasi. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marge Mentes and Elizabeth Jones.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at St. Mary's Cemetery with Scott Pilkington officiating. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.

She was a great homemaker and was dearly loved by her family.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
