OBITUARY: Mary Lotella Cole

Mary Lotella Cole, 81 of Harrisburg, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at her residence.

Lotella was born on Dec. 14, 1932, in Raleigh to the late Cloid Forrest and Estella (Farmer) Wesley. On June 16, 1956, she married J. Phillip Cole and he survives.

She was a former missionary educator and a member of North Williford Baptist Church.

Surviving family members include her husband, J. Phillip Cole of Harrisburg; sister, Louise Swan of Harrisburg; nephew, Charles (Marilyn) Hammond of Eldorado; niece, Shirley (Wayne) McKinstry of Chatham; great-nieces and -nephews, Walter Allen (Lauren) Hammond of Eldorado, Nancy (Mark) Gilley of Hopkinsville, Ky., Amy (Keith) Tyndall of Springfield, Mo., and David (Lindsey) McKinstry of Front Royal, Va.; and a cousin, Leona Younger of Raleigh.

Lotella was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Lois Hammond.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Keith Ital will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov., 20, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
