OBITUARY: Flora Valleroy Childers

Flora Valleroy Childers, 69 of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at her residence.

She was born June 27, 1945, in Henderson, Ky., to Bluford and Dorothy Stone Spencer. She was married to Jack Valleroy and he preceded her in death Dec. 4, 1989, and later married Louis Childers and he preceded her in death in 2005. She was a member of the Apostolic Church in Harrisburg.

Surviving are a son, Robert Wynne of Eldorado; three daughters, Dorene Ewell of Harrisburg, Jacquie Prusaczyk of Florence, Ore., and Linda Valleroy of Harrisburg; one brother, Bluford Stone Jr.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ardell "Benji" Valleroy; an infant son; and one brother, Joe Ivy.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Fritts and the Rev. Gary Simmons officiating. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday.
