OBITUARY: Glenn E. Sinks

Glenn E. Sinks, 81, of Eldorado, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

He was born on Jan. 3, 1933, in McLeansboro to the late John and Ida (Glenn) Sinks. He served in the Army in the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. He was the owner of Glenn's Body shop since 1975. On Aug. 14, 1953, he married the former Genieve Griffith and she survives in Eldorado.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children: David (Toni) Sinks of Eldorado, Adrian (Christy) Sinks of Eldorado and Linda (Ed) Redick of Eldorado. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Valerie (Troy) Williams, Jason (Rachael) Redick, Derrick (Danielle) Sinks, Kendra Redick, Whitney (Adam) Jones, Mackenzie Sinks and Bennett Sinks; and six great-grandchildren: Afton, Klayton, Anthony, Darin, Victoria and Myia. He is also survived by one sister Bonnie Cline of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Boone, Doc and Cecil Sinks; a twin sister: Doris Mayberry; and a sister: Wilma Leslie.

As per his wishes his body will be cremated and there will be no services. Watson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
