OBITUARY: Mary Ruth Fuhr York

Mary Ruth Fuhr York, 86 of Harrisburg, passed away 11:25 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at the Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado.

She was born on June 7, 1928, in Junction, the daughter of Anthony Edward and Laura Mae (Black) Fuhr. In 1989 she retired from Home Health of Creston, Iowa.

Mary Ruth is survived by her brother, Harve and wife Juanita Fuhr of Shawneetown; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Fuhr of Harrisburg; one niece, Vicky and husband Mark Drone of Effingham; two nephews, Ron and wife Kathy Fuhr of Effingham, Ed and wife Nancy Allen of Kona, Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dallas L. York; one sister, Barbara I. Collins; one brother, Bernard Rube Fuhr.

Visitation for Mary Ruth will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, with Pastor Jack Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Leamington Cemetery of rural Junction. Donations in Mary Ruth's memory may be made to the Leamington Cemetery.
