Prep Volleyball: Harrisburg falls to Hamilton County on Senior Night
The Harrisburg High School volleyball lost a three match set against Hamilton County on Senior Night at Davenport Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs fell 25-11 in match one, only to fight back to win the second match, 25-16, but fell in the tie breaker 25-22.
Harrisburg got great serving from Lilee Robinson (16 points) to help seal the win in the second match, while senior Audree Morecraft and freshman middle Bryleigh Buchanan had five kills and three block a piece.
Freshman middle Matty Hawkins had six kills and multiple touches on the block with two stuff blocks.
Senior Libero Haley Price made some big plays on defense and serve received with great consistency.
"We just faced a tough, scrappy, hard hitting Hamilton County team tonight," HHS coach Heather Cox said. "The match went back and forth and could have finished another way pretty easily, but unfortunately for us, didn't.
Not only did Harrisburg honor its seniors and their parents, but worked to bring cancer awareness and research to the forefront of the game tonight.
The Harrisburg JV team lost in two games, losing 25-19 and 25-16.
The Bulldogs got quality serving from junior setter Ally Langley and freshman libero Gillian Jones to keep Harrisburg in the game.
