Voting machines tested

Saline County Clerk and Elections Board Chairwoman Kim Buchanan tested a voting machine picked at random from the 28 machines used in the 28 precincts of Saline County Tuesday while a representative of both local political parties observed the process.

Bob Holmes, Republican Party Chairman for Saline County and Stanley Walters, Democrat Precinct Chair for District 4 in Eldorado observed the test.

The state was to send representatives to conduct further tests on about eight machines Wednesday. The eight are picked at random from the 28 machines currently used each election.
