Carl Lee Moore

Carl Lee Moore, 80, of Carbondale, passed away at 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at the Helia Healthcare of Carbondale.

Carl had worked at Geberts Auto Supply in Carbondale. He had also worked at Sherwin-Williams Paint Store in Carbondale for 25 years. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Carbondale.

He was born July 9, 1934 at Tamaroa, Ill., the son of Claude L. and Lola Mae (Ehler) Moore.

He is survived by special friend - Amy Carlson of Carbondale, three children - Mitzi Moore of Carterville, Elizabeth Hurst of Virginia and Eric Carlson and wife Monica of Paris, France, grandchildren - Shane Moore and wife Steffani of Carbondale, Ryan Moore and wife Patricia of Makanda, Misty Mowrer and husband J.P. of Carterville, Emma, John and Henry Hurst of Virginia and Ella and Clara Carlson of Paris, France, great grandchildren - Erin Moore, Jackson Moore, Kara Moore, Skylar Moore, Eislee Moore, Reagan Moore, Owen Mowrer and Lilah Mowrer, one daughter-in-law - Tanya Moore of DeSoto, one brother - Charles 'Bub' Moore of Du Quoin and niece - Robin Pierce of Du Quoin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son - Michael R. Moore and one sister in infancy - Wanda Mae Moore.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Doug Cherry officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
