VOLLEYBALL: Lady Panthers top Du Quoin on Pink-Out Night
Nearly $1000 was raised for breast cancer patient Jade Warden through the "Pink-Out" volleyball game at Du Quoin High School on Tuesday night between the Lady Indians and Pinckneyville, and the Lady Panthers took the match itself in two sets, 25-18, 25-11 with five kills apiece from Emma Banach and Sophie Keith.
Kaitlyn Sweeney led PCHS with 15 assists and Mady Epplin had a team-best 12 digs.
For Du Quoin, Hope Fenton had six kills to lead the offense. Fenton, Jordyn Bullar and Kenzie Jackson each had five digs, and Alaina Caldwell finished with eight assists.
The Lady Indians are at Sparta on Thursday, the same night the Lady Panthers host Anna-Jonesboro.
