OBITUARY: Nilah Kathleen Fillinghim

Nilah Kathleen Fillingim, 80, resident of Ridgway passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

Nilah was born June 1, 1934, in North Manchester, Ind., to the late Chester and Mable (Hinkle) Cook.

She was a member of the Ridgway Presbyterian Church and the Red Hats Society. She was a retired teacher, teaching at several Gallatin County schools.

On Dec. 21, 1968, she married Earl A. "Jack" Fillingim who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Beth (Lance) Forsberg of Carbondale; and two grandchildren; Allison and Ethan Forsberg.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway with the Rev. Wade Halva officiating. Burial was at Jackson Cemetery. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
