Fire destroys Leamington home

A Wednesday morning house fire destroyed a home at 4900 state Route 1, Junction.

Shawneetown firefighters responded about 6 a.m. to find the Leamington area home fully involved and were still on the scene after 8 a.m.

Firefighter Mike Heath said the home is owned by Harry Lee Barnes and is considered to be a total loss. The home is behind the area locally known as "the Old Lane Grocery Store."

No one was home at the time of the fire.
