VOLLEYBALL: Elverado dominates Meridian
The Lady Falcons are now 5-0 in conference volleyball action after Tuesday night's 25-8, 25-11 home victory over Meridian. Cheyenne Abbadusky had a stellar game at the net and behind the service line, finishing with four kills and seven aces.
"Another big conference win for us," said Elverado coach Donette Wheatley. "We played really well and with lots of enthusiasm. It's nice when you are on the side that is playing all the offense and getting the job done. It's definitely more fun."
Ellie Winthrop added three kills for EHS. Emma Bigham led the Lady Falcons with three assists. Kaitlin Lively had six service aces.
Elverado also took the win in the junior-varsity match, winning 25-12, 25-20 to improve to 8-2 overall, 5-0 in conference play.
Tori Ehlers had five kills, a dig, and three aces. Haily Falter had three kills. Maycee Bowlin led assists with five, and Hope Porter led aces with four.
Elverado (6-7, 5-0) heads to Woodlawn on Wednesday and Joppa on Thursday.
