Integrated Health holding superhero-themed run

Integrated Health of Harrisburg will be holding their fourth annual charity run and walk on Saturday, Oct. 11.

"We set a goal this year of raising $1,000 to buy clothes for 100 kids in Southern Illinois," said Chris Proctor of Integrated Health. This is our first "theme" run and the staff voted and came up with the Superhero theme."

Integrated Health will give the proceeds from the run to the Fowler Bonan Foundation, Cloths for Kids program. The Fowler Bonan Foundation has been active in a variety of charity work in Southern Illinois for a number of years and holds a Clothes for Kids purchase involving the Harrisburg High School student council choosing cloths at local clothing retailers which are then donated to needy children.

This year's Integrated Health marathon will consist of 5K or 10K run, a 5K speed walk and a 1-mile family walk. The run and walk start and end at Integrated Health at 303 South Commercial Street in Harrisburg. The times of the runs and walk are 9 a.m. for the 10K run, 9:15 a.m. for the 5K run, 9:30 a.m. for the 5K speed walk and 9:45 a.m. for the 1-mile family walk.

Registration forms are available at the Integrated Health office or online. Proctor stated that online registration should be sought at www.intergratedhealthofsi.com though Proctor said people would have to hunt around a little at the Integrated Health website, though the registration page was there. Chris Proctor's e-mail is cproctor@intergratedhealthofsi.com and he can be reached by phone at 618-252-5555 with any questions.
