A potent ground attack propelled the Eldorado football team to a 42-6 road win Friday over Fulton City, Ky.

The out of conference game replaced what would have been a forfeit win for the Eagles, who rushed for 368 yards on 37 carries.

Payton Price scored a pair of touchdowns, picking up 141 yards on seven carries as Eldorado improved to 3-1 on the year.

As good as the ground game was for Eldorado, it's defense was just as good.

The Eagles held the Bulldogs (0-4) to just four first downs in the game and a combined 67 yards, 59 of which came through the air as Fulton City had eight yards on 12 carries.

Through four games this year, Eldorado is plus-10 in the turnover margin and have just nine penalties in four games, coming away with zero at Fulton City.

"That was one of the biggest pluses coming away from that game was that our defensive line really pressured their quarterback and we played penalty free," Eldorado head coach Brandon Hampton said.

"I feel like our defense took some really big strides this week. We made them play under duress, which I think was key for us."

Hampton acknowledged the benefit of having a running clock in the second half, which gave the head coach the opportunity to play other kids and come away healthy.

Eldorado flexed its muscle in the early going, putting up 24 points in the first quarter. A Fulton City fumble and an interception on back-to-back possessions gave Eldorado a quick 14-0 lead.

Drew Woolcott (28-yard run), Alex Molinarolo (10-yard run) and Max Kaiser (33-yard pass) all scored for Eldorado.

Price scored his two touchdowns in the second quarter, giving the Eagles a 36-0 lead at halftime and Trey Vessel added a three-yard run in the third.
