GOLF: Lady Panthers, DHS's Ferguson win at Red Hawk

The Lady Panthers used strong individual rounds from Trista Ogilvie and Ellie Carlson to coast to an easy victory at Red Hawk Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon, totaling 200 strokes as a team to finish well ahead of Waltonville (244) and Steeleville (262).

Ogilvie shot a nine-hole total of 43, just one stroke behind the medalist winner, Du Quoin's Marisa Ferguson (42). Carlson finished tied for third individually with a 46, Taylor Wildermuth shot 54, and Erica Crews shot 57 to round out PCHS's scorecard.

Du Quoin did not have a team score, as only three golfers competed. Carlie Daffron shot a 60, Gabrielle Alvardo finished with a 79.

The Lady Panthers are at Anna on Wednesday to compete in the Anna Invitational, and return home on Friday to host Red Bud at Red Hawk.

The Lady Indians are off until Monday when they travel to Sparta.
