Foreigner: What a night!

From the moment Foreigner and lead singer Kelly Hansen took the stage Saturday night at the 92nd Annual Du Quoin State Fair they had the record-setting crowd in the palm of their hand.

Through a grueling two-hour show the huge crowd and band members rocked through the sweltering heat and humidity to an 18-song set that included hit after hit including, "Double Vision," "Cold as Ice," "Head Games," "Dirty White Boy," "Feels Like the First Time," "Urgent," "Juke Box Hero." Perhaps the highlight of the show was a rousing encore performance that included the Du Quoin High School Choir joining Foreigner for "I Want to Know What Love Is."

When asked about the rousing performance - the first grandstand show this year, Du Quoin Fair Manager Shannon Woodworth said it was a great beginning for this year's grandstand lineup.

"My first reaction is to say 'wow," said Woodworth. "There was an energy in the grandstand that I have never experienced before. I am extremely proud of the Du Quoin High School choir, their performance brought a tear to my eye."

Woodworth said the 5,000-plus in attendance was the largest paid crowd since Kenny Chesney was at the fair in 2001.
