Prep Golf: Williams, Burtis pace Bulldogs

The Harrisburg High School boys' golf team continued its steady start to the season, knocking off Carmi-White County 154-165 Thursday at Shawnee Hills Country Club.

Harrisburg's Ryan Williams took home medalist honors, firing an even-par 36.

Patrick Bittle was two stokes off, finishing with a 38, while Ben Fowler and Garrett Jenkins rounded out the scoring with a 40.

For Carmi-White County, Trent Williams added a 39.

On the girls' side, Carmi-White County pulled out the 182-201 victory over Harrisburg, but Bulldog junior Alexa Burtis took home medalist honors with a 40.

Skylar Street finished with a 46 for Harrisburg, while Gabriella Tison had a 51 and Nicole Taylor carded a 64.
