OBITUARY: Danny Allen "Dan" Huett

Danny Allen "Dan" Huett age 58, of Harrisburg passed away on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at the home of his sister.

He was born on May 3, 1956, in Harrisburg, to the late Jack Huett and Joan (Redwine) Taft. He married Brenda (Ford) on June 5, 1981, and she preceded him in death on June 13, 2014. Dan was a pastor and member of the Saline Baptist Association and of the McKinley Avenue Baptist Church.

Dan is survived by his daughter: Melissa Cochran and fiance Anthony Pinkard of Harrisburg; two grandchildren: Zachary Cochran and Jaclynn Samantha Rakas; brother: Wilson Stucker of Independence, Mo.; sister: Phyllis and husband Richard Slightom of Harrisburg; sister: Pam Stucker and Terry Riley of Harrisburg; and brother: Kevin Stucker and Danny Thomas of Galatia

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Brenda.

Services for Dan will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Daniels officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Reed Funeral Chapel. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or McKinley Avenue Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
