OBITUARY: Jerry Michael Mangrum

Jerry Michael Mangrum, 72 of Galena, passed away July 31, 2014, at his home.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena and where friends may gather after 11 a.m.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at a later date. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Galena VFW Post No. 2665 and American Legion Post No. 193 following the celebration of life.

He was born April 3, 1942, in Benton, the son of Homer and Naomi (Perry) Mangrum. Mike graduated from Eldorado High School, Eldorado in 1960. He was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his mother, Naomi Davis of Anna; two daughters, Kim Langley of Harrisburg and Sasha Armstrong of Hanover; one son, Seve Mangrum of Los Angeles, Calif; two grandchildren, Jack and Ally Langley.

He was preceded in death by his father. The family wishes to thank everyone for the love and prayers during this difficult time.
