OBITUARY: Peggy S. Richey

Peggy S. Richey, 70 of Kankakee, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Ky.

She was born on May 27, 1944, in Harrisburg to Freeman Humphrey and Lois Hancock. Peggy married Dale Richey on June 30, 2005.

She was a member of River Valley Christian Fellowship Church in Bourbonnais. Peggy was also a retiree from Federal Signal. She enjoyed sewing and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Richey of Kankakee; one son, Preston and Kelly Moyer of Omaha, Nebraska; one daughter, Penny and Dean Magruder of Kankakee; four sisters, Margaret and Lindell (Butch) Prather of Harrisburg, Frances and Vonnie Holliman of Gulfport, Miss., Carol Wilkenson of Cape Coral, Fla., and Teri and Roger Stevens of Raleigh; four brothers, Bob and Peggy Humphrey of Rosiclare, Phillip and Monica Humphrey of Harrisburg, Ronald Humphrey of Kokomo, Ind., and Mickey and Julie Humphrey of Harrisburg; and three grandchildren, Jennifer Magruder of Rockford, Lauren and Justin Forneris of Chicago and Andrea Magruder of Lafayette, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lenora Basham; and son, Patrick Moyer.

A memorial visitation will be held 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at River Valley Christian Fellowship Church.
