Update: Coach Al Martin's three-day football camp starting Monday for area students about to enter Grades 6 through 8

The Du Quoin High School Football program will have a three-day youth camp on July 28-30. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The camp will be held at the Du Quoin High School football field.

The cost will be $20.

The camp will be for players about to enter grades 6 through 8.

The purpose of the camp will be to teach the basic fundamentals of offensive and defensive positions. "We will also work with kickers and snappers," said Coach Al Martin. It will also introduce the athletes to the discipline involved in working as a team.

• Campers will be expected to treat coaches and fellow campers with respect.

• The camp will follow guidelines set up by the Illinois High School Athletic Association.
