Harrisburg woman injured in White County crash

A Harrisburg woman received serious injury in a Gallatin County crash Thursday evening.

Darla M. Graham, 35, Harrisburg, at 6:22 p.m. was driving a 2007 BMW west on state Route 141 and failed to stop at the intersection with U.S. Route 45. The vehicle went airborne and struck several trees, according to a release from Illinois State Police District 19. The vehicle came to rest down an embankment.

Graham was air lifted from the scene by Air-Evac to an Evansville, Ind., hospital for treatment while an 11-year-old juvenile from Harrisburg was transported by Med Force Ambulance to an area hospital for treatment. Both were wearing seat belts.

White County Sheriff's Department, Gallatin County Sheriff's Department, White County Rescue, Med Force Ambulance, Norris City Police Department and Jones Towing assisted.

Charges are pending, according to the release.
