OBITUARY: Onita “Bobby” Cannan
Onita "Bobby" Cannan, 88, resident of Eldorado, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Ferrell Hospital.
Bobby was born in Eldorado to the late Ralph and Marie (Beasley) Tucker. She graduated ETHS in 1943. She was a member of Eastern Star and The American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of the Eldorado First Baptist Church. On June 28, 1947, she married Thomas E. Cannan who survives. Bobby and her husband owned and operated Cannan Heating and Cooling in Eldorado prior to retirement. Bobby enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing golf, entertaining guests, home decorating, cooking, working in her yard and traveling. She and her husband traveled to many places including Mexico, South America, Caribbean, Europe, Hong Kong and China.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Judith Ann Cannan and husband Robert Walck of Benton Harbor, Mich.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Janita Clark. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Wolf Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Russell Helton and the Rev. Randy Plunkett officiating. There will be no visitation; those attending should go directly to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Eldorado Memorial Library and will be accepted at the cemetery.
