OBITUARY: Nina Lea Young

Nina Lea Young, 80 of 4760 US Highway 45 South, Harrisburg, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. Thursday until service time. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery and the Rev. Harl Cockrum will officiate.

She was born on April 16, 1934, in Carrier Mills, to the late Edward and Lois (Purdom) Flannell.

She was a retired health care worker and was a member of the Carrier Mills First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son: Kenneth (Cheri Sampson) Young of Harrisburg; granddaughter: Misty Young of Marion; two brothers: Hubert Flannell of Sullivan and Fred Flannell of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; niece: Janet Hickey; and nephew: Ed Flannell.

She was preceded in death by daughter: Sheila K. Young; four sisters: Beulah Fay Flannell, Romaine Dewar, Alice Laverne Zito and Janette Holland; three brothers: Claude Edward Flannell, Kenneth Wayne Flannell and Cecil Flannell; and a daughter-in-law: Janet Young.
