OBITUARY: Dorothy J. (Endicott) Thrasher

Dorothy J. (Endicott) Thrasher, 71 of Ridgway, died at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Ridgway Rehab & Nursing Center in Ridgway.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Ridgway Church of God in Ridgway. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lyndal Sork and the Rev. Don Thrasher officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Campground Cemetery in Ridgway.

Dorothy was born on Feb. 8, 1941, in Eldorado, the daughter of William and Mary Agnes (Flahardy) Endicott. She married Robert "Bob" Thrasher on June 21, 1961, in New Shawneetown. He survives.

She worked as a nurse's aide for 33 years at Ridgway Manor and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ridgway Church of God. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Bob Thrasher of Ridgway; son, Larry Dean Thrasher of Ridgway; brother, Jackie Endicott of Shawneetown; three sisters, Kathleen Chamberlain, of Ridgway, Marilyn Weemer, of Centralia, and Gladys Osborne of Centralia; two grandchildren, Isaac and Rebecca Thrasher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Agnes Endicott; son, Darrell Thrasher; two brothers, Bob Endicott and Vic Endicott; and one sister, Bonnie Jane Torrence.
