OBITUARY: Donald R. DeArmon

Donald R. DeArmon, 81 of Paducah, Ky., passed away 3:41 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the Southgate Nursing and Rehab Center in Metropolis.

He was born on April 19, 1933, in Corning, Ark., the son of Vern and Deane DeArmon. Don was the owner of Donco Construction in Eldorado.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Patton) DeArmon of Paducah, Ky.; three sons, Mike and Susan DeArmon of Eldorado, Jerry DeArmon and Jeffrey DeArmon, both of Eldorado; one stepson, Chris Haas of Rosiclare; and six grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vern DeArmon Jr. There will be a graveside service for Don 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Hogan Cemetery near Shawneetown. For those wishing to attend the service gather at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown at 10:15 a.m. and then proceed to the cemetery. The Rev. Robert D. Patton will officiate the service. The family requests no flowers, but memorial donations may be made to Lourde's Hospice of Paducah, Ky.
