OBITUARY: Gerald "Jerry" Hanson

Gerald "Jerry" Hanson, 72 of Eldorado, died May 24, 2014, at Land Mark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Jerry was born in Pontiac, Mich., on June 4, 1941, to the late Robert and Mary (Holder) Tosh. He was a machinist and retired from Wal-Mart in 2010. He was a member of the Church of New Beginnings. He was member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, where he served as Chaplin.

Surviving are his children: April (Ken) Nease of Newport, Mich., and Charity B. Hanson of Michigan. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Darrell Vroman, Donald Vroman, Michael Vroman and Phillip Vroman and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the Watson Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Murray and the Rev. Toby Hise officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the funeral home.
