OBITUARY: Jennifer M. "Jenny" Weiland

Jennifer M. "Jenny" Weiland, age 12 of Ridgway, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, as the result of an accident.

Jenny, as she liked to be called, was born on Jan. 26, 2002, in Marion to Jeremiah Weiland and Rachel Lynch. She was a sixth-grader at Gallatin County Junior High.

Jenny loved going to her church, being with her family, swimming, biking, playing and really enjoyed school. She never met a stranger, always having that contagious smile when you saw her. She loved to help people, sing at church and was very interested in crosses. Her favorite color was blue but loved all colors. She enjoyed cooking, especially with her grandfather. Jenny was a Daddy's girl and loved to ride with him on his motorcycle. She was a wonderful daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend and will be missed by so many.

Jenny is survived by her parents, Jeremiah (Gail Doss) Weiland of Harrisburg and Rachel Lynch (Jared Back) of Ridgway; her sister, Samantha Lynch of Ridgway; brother, Jacob Doss, along with a brother to be born in a few weeks, Alec Ray Weiland; grandparents, Lois and Billy Lynch of Ridgway, Deborah and Gerald Weiland of Eldorado; great-grandparents, Joyce and J.W. Rider and Charles and Phyllis Perry; many uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a grandparent, Aaron Ray Crevoisier.

Jenny's visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. Her funeral will immediately follow at the funeral home starting at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jared Barton officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown.
