OBITUARY: Henry Alva Kaylor
Henry Alva Kaylor, age 95 of Marion, passed away at 11:25 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the Community Living Center in Marion.
Henry was born in Cave-In-Rock Sept. 9, 1918, to the late Lennie Lloyd and Katie (Lane) Kaylor. Henry married Dorothy Partain on Feb. 4, 1946, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 25, 1990. Henry was a World War II Army Veteran and received many medals. He was a member of Cornerstone Church in Marion.
Henry is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Dover and husband, Mike, of Marion; sister, June Kaylor of Eldorado; sister, Marie Barnard and husband Ray of Eldorado; two grandchildren, Michael Keith Dover and wife Kelly of Marion, and Kerri Henry and husband Jason of Pittsburg; three great-grandchildren, Kalli Dover, Kameron Dover, and Kaden Dover.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Lennie Lloyd and Katie Kaylor; wife, Dorothy; son, Dennis Ray Kaylor; three brothers, Shirley Kaylor, Lowell Kaylor and Ewing Kaylor; one sister, Erma Rae Kaylor.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Robbey Smith will officiate and burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Church and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
