OBITUARY: Bobby Gene Rider

Bobby Gene Rider, 68 of Belvidere, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, in his home.

He was born Feb. 7, 1946, in Shawneetown to Edward and Beulah (Trusty) Rider. He married Deborah Koch on May 24, 2008. He was employed as a caster by Union Special in Huntley for 42 years. A U.S. Army veteran, he served in Viet Nam 1966-1967.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; daughter, Tammy (Charles) Wagner, Kimberly (David) Jowers and Marsha (Matt) Dochtermanl; son, Robert "Brian" Riderl; sister, Delores Couser; brothers, Johnny (Alma) Rider and Dennis (Kathy) Rider; grandchildren, Chaz (Elizabeht) Wagner, Dayton Wagner, Michael (Jennifer) Jowers, Devon (Sarah) Jowers, Karley Dochterman, Jenna Rider, Saydee Jowers and Jamie Rider; great-grandchildren, Caden and Conner Wagner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Mack.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, in the chapel of Memories in Highland Garden of Memories, 9700 IL Route 76, Belvidere.
