OBITUARY: Betty Ann Trammell
Betty Ann Trammell, age 89 of Stonefort, passed away 2:04 a.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014, in the Hill View Health Care in Vienna.
She was born in Saline County on Feb. 6, 1925, to the late Sim and Ethel Womack Richerson Sr. She married Philip Trammell on June 4, 1944, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2005. She was a member to the Walnut Grove Baptist Church near New Burnside and played the organ there and other church's for nearly 60 years. She worked as a bank teller for 20 years at the former Bank of Harrisburg.
She is survived by two sons, H.V. Trammell of Creal Springs and Wes and Joy Trammell of Stonefort; four grandchildren, Julie and Adam Hook of Vienna, John Trammell of Creal Springs, Kyle Trammell of Stonefort and Kacy and Richard Gore of Harrisburg; four great-grandchildren, Olivia and Caleb Gore, Ethan and Molly Hook; two sisters, Roma Hill and Rita (George) Overstreet, both of Stonefort; three brothers, Sim Richerson Jr., Paul (Connie) Richerson and Phillip Dale (Jo) Richerson, all of Stonefort.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, John, Jim and Stephen Richerson; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Trammell.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in the Walnut Grove Baptist Church near New Burnside with the pastor the Rev. Ron Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in the Bolton-Trammell Cemetery. Friends may call at the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
