Olympian Johnny Weir Splits From Husband

Johnny Weir has split from his husband of more than two years, Victor Voronov, the former Olympic figure skater announced Wednesday.

"It is with great sadness that I announce that my husband and I are no longer together," Weir tweeted. "My heart hurts, and I wish him well."

Weir, 29, and Voronov, a lawyer, married in a New York civil ceremony in December 2011. Both men took on new surnames, Weir-Voronov, but Weir continued to go by his old name professionally.

Earlier this year, Weir was back in the limelight thanks to his dazzling outfits and delightful chemistry with fellow ex-figure skater Tara Lipinski. In addition to providing commentary together for the 2014 Winter Olympics, the duo covered the Oscars red carpet for Access Hollywood .

However, RadarOnline.com reported that Weir and his husband were involved in a domestic dispute shortly before Weir went to Sochi. Voronov allegedly filed a police report claiming that Weir bit him, but the couple later requested that the case be dismissed. The dismissal was granted.
