OBITUARY: Garet Kraig Williams

Garet Kraig Williams, age 21 of Harrisburg, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Garet was born on May 19, 1992, in Evansville, Ind., to Cindy Williams and Brian Potts. Garet was a member of Little Chapel Church and was a graduate of Harrisburg High School.

Surviving family members include his mother: Cindy Potts and companion Josh Oldani of Harrisburg; father: Brian Potts of Harrisburg; sister: Kaylin Potts of Harrisburg; brother: Devan Potts of Harrisburg; sister: Amber and husband Byron Mitchell of Carrier Mills; sister: Reese Kays of Sesser; brother: Jake Pyle of Harrisburg; grandfather: Curt and wife Dianna Williams of Harrisburg; grandmother: Nancy Clark of Harrisburg; four aunts: Jessica Williams, LaDonna and husband Billy Field, Jama Clark, and Jessica Sutton; uncle: Matthew Clark; special friends: Craig Winters, Cody Ward and Trystyn McCormick; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Marilyn "Kay" Williams; grandfather: James Clark; spiritual brotherly cousin: Jerod Scott Field.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Jeff Rush and Barry Stead will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset burial expenses.
