OBITUARY: Fred W. "Fritz" Anderson

Fred W. "Fritz" Anderson, 93, formerly of Equality, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in a care facility in Boise, Idaho.

He was a World War II veteran, having served as a bombardier in the 15th Airborne Division of the Army Air Force stationed in Foggia, Italy. Following the war he worked in the family grocery in Equality and then for over 37 years in sales for Swift and Company, retiring from their office in Chicago in 1983.

He is pre-deceased by his wife of 68 years, Nina Martin Anderson, formerly of Shawneetown; his parents, J. P. and Addie Anderson; and brother, Jim Anderson, formerly of Equality.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Anderson Quist (Hugh), of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Tom Quist of West Des Moines, Iowa and Karen Quist Harvey (Aaron) of McCall, Idaho; and great-grandsons Logan Quist and Walker and Cooper Harvey.

A memorial service and interment for both Fred and Nina, will be held at a future date in Shawneetown.
