Homeland Promotes Nazanin Boniadi to Series Regular

Homeland has promoted Nazanin Boniadi to series regular for Season 4, Showtime announced Friday.

In Season 3, Boniadi guest-starred as Fara Sherazi, a Muslim CIA analyst who enlisted her relatives in Tehran to help Carrie (Claire Danes). When Homeland returns in the fall, Fara will work under Carrie in a key role at the CIA.

Boniadi is currently guest-starring on Scandal as Adnan Salif for an eight-episode arc. She has previously appeared on How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy and 24.
