Roger Hill, Star of The Warriors, Dies at 65

Roger Hill, best known for playing gang leader Cyrus in the 1979 cult classic The Warriors , died Feb. 20 in New York, Variety reports. He was 65.

A New York City native, Hill mostly worked in theater and appeared in Off Broadway and touring productions for No Place to Be Somebody, The Fabulous Miss Marie and Hamlet.

After his breakout role in The Warriors, Hill play Alec Lowndes on One Life to Live from 1982 to 1985. After 20 years as an actor, Hill left show business and spent time working as a part-time librarian and writing poetry.

In 2005, he filed a $250,000 lawsuit against Rockstar Games for using his voice and depicting him in a videogame based on The Warriors.

Hill is survived by his son, film editor Chris W. Hill.
